Le géant français du jeu vidéo, Ubisoft, a récemment annoncé son adhésion à la « Blockchain Gaming Alliance » en tant que membre fondateur.
Qu’est-ce que la Blockchain Gaming Alliance?
Selon le site officiel, Blockchain Gaming Alliance est convaincue que la technologie révolutionnaire de blockchain apporte de nombreux nouveaux avantages à l’écosystème du jeu, des développeurs ainsi qu’aux joueurs.
Ils cherchent à fournir un forum ouvert à toutes les parties prenantes pour partager des connaissances et collaborer à des recherches qui encouragent de nouvelles façons de créer et de jouer à des jeux.
«Notre objectif ultime est d’aider à diffuser l’intégration de Blockchain en développant des normes communes et des meilleures pratiques», lit-on sur le site.
La console de jeu traditionnelle est-elle en train de disparaître?
L’organisation regroupe certains des plus grands noms de l’industrie du jeu sous le postulat que l’ère des consoles de jeu est bien avancée et sera remplacée par une forme de «l’ordinateur mondial» que l’on dit de la blockchain.
C’est pourquoi B2expand, Ubisoft, Consensys, Alto, Fig, EverdreamSoft, Enjin coin, Ultra et Gimli se sont associés pour concevoir de nouvelles solutions de jeu en utilisant une technologie de blocage de la chaîne de blocs.

« Bien que la technologie de la blockchain soit encore en développement, les technologies de base de la blockchain telles qu’un registre distribué, un contrat intelligent et un mécanisme de consensus ont un potentiel énorme et de vastes perspectives pour le jeu », a déclaré Biton sur son canal officiel Medium.
« Les membres fondateurs (de la Blockchain Game Alliance) estiment également que les joueurs mèneront l’adoption massive des paradigmes de crypto-monnaie », a-t-il expliqué.
