Commonwealth Bank expédie et suit 17 tonnes d’amandes vers l’Europe

Selon l’annonce officielle faite aujourd’hui sur le site Web de la Commonwealth Bank (CBA), l’institution financière, en collaboration avec cinq leaders australiens et internationaux de la supply chain, a expédié et suivi avec succès dix-sept tonnes d’amandes Sunraysia de Victoria, en Australie, à Hambourg, en Allemagne, en utilisant la blockchain Ethereum.

«Nous sont convaincus que la blockchain peut aider nos partenaires à réduire le fardeau administratif de leurs activités et à leur permettre de fournir les meilleurs services à leurs clients», a-t-il déclaré.
Une liste formidable des partenaires
La déclaration officielle a confirmé que la Commonwealth Bank s’est associée avec Olam Orchards Australia Pty Ltd, acteur mondial du secteur de l’agriculture, Pacific National pour le transport ferroviaire, au propriétaire du port, port de Melbourne, docker Patrick Terminals et le transporteur maritime OOCL Limited, dans le cadre de l’expérience, alors que le fournisseur IoT LX Group a fourni un support du matériel et logiciel pour expédier les marchandises de Mildura à Hambourg.

Le système de suivi et de traçabilité hautement fonctionnel a permis aux partenaires de localiser l’emplacement de l’expédition à volonté et de visualiser les conditions, telles que la température et l’humidité à l’intérieur du conteneur, via quatre dispositifs IoT, offrant ainsi aux partenaires à travers la supply chain un niveau supérieur de transparence et d’efficacité en ce qui concerne la localisation, les conditions et l’authentification des marchandises transportées.
Emma Roberts, responsable de la supply chain chez Olam Orchards Australia Pty Ltd, a déclaré: «L’inefficacité des échanges peut être extrêmement préjudiciable à notre activité.
