Binance Jersey facilitera le commerce de fiat-to-crypto
Binance, une importante bourse de cryptomonnaie, prévoit de faire son entrée sur les marchés européens en lançant une plateforme de trading fiat-to-cryptocurrency, a révélé un communiqué de presse le 16 janvier.
La nouvelle plate-forme commerciale, appelée Binance Jersey, sera située sur l’île de Jersey, une dépendance britannique autonome. Il est conçu pour faciliter les échanges de livres sterling (GBP) et d’euros (EUR) avec Ethereum (ETH) et Bitcoin (BTC) sur les marchés européens et britanniques.
Le trading sur la plateforme sera disponible pour les utilisateurs après vérification et conformément aux normes Know Your Customer (KYC).
Selon le directeur financier de la bourse, Wei Zhou :
« Binance a choisi Jersey pour son infrastructure numérique hautement développée, son cadre réglementaire solide et son secteur des services financiers de classe mondiale.
Zhou a en outre révélé que Binance Jersey est une entité indépendante complètement différente de sa société mère Binance.com. Cependant, il est alimenté par la même technologie.
Sur cette note, il a également révélé que Binance Jersey recrute pour différentes fonctions. La bourse de cryptomonnaie travaille avec une agence de développement soutenue par le gouvernement et vise à créer environ 40 emplois sur l’île.
Expansion sur les marchés de l’UE
Binance a souligné dans le communiqué de presse que leur expansion sur les marchés européens pourrait permettre « d’éviter l’incertitude qui menace le Brexit où la livre sterling et l’euro sont également en cause ».
Dans le même ordre d’idées, Coinbase, une importante bourse de cryptomonnaie, a ouvert un bureau à Dublin, qui devrait faire partie de son plan d’urgence lorsque le Royaume-Uni quittera l’Union européenne.
